Strategies for Academic Success Module
911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú placed on academic warning (formerly academic probation) should complete the Strategies for Academic Success .
Strategies for Academic Success will teach students to:
- understand the University's academic warning policy,
- recognize and remove barriers to academic success,
- identify and utilize University resources,
- create a strategy to return to good academic standing.

911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú who have questions about academic standing, repeating courses for grade forgiveness, or who want additional advice about improving their GPAs should meet with a UCUA academic advisor in a drop-in advising session. Drop-in hours and additional information can be found on the main UCUA webpage.
All undergraduate students must maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) in all classes taken at 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú and in all transferable courses from other colleges and universities, to remain in good academic standing.
Academic warning results when a student's grades fall below a 2.0 GPA in either the 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú cumulative GPA (all courses at 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú) or in the overall cumulative GPA (all transferable college courses, including 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú work).
911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú placed on academic warning are given one semester to raise their GPAs to a 2.0 and return to good academic standing. 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú are subject to academic disqualification at the end of the first semester on academic warning if they have GPAs below the four minimum cumulative GPAs as follows:

| Senior (90 + units completed) | 1.95 GPA |
911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú whose 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú and overall GPAs are higher than those listed above but still below 2.0 will earn a second semester on academic warning and must raise their GPAs to a 2.0 and return to good academic standing to avoid academic disqualification.
Enrollment Services informs students via email about their academic standing. 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú should monitor their student email account regularly for notification. Academic standing can also be viewed in the My911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú Student Center.
