Meet the ACs & RLCs
What is an AC/RLC?
Area Coordinators (AC) and Residential Life Coordinators (RLC) are live-in professional staff members responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential communities. They supervise student staff, support conduct processes, respond to incidents, and create opportunities for community engagement and student success.
Area Coordinators serve as the lead staff member, working with the Residential Life Coordinator and co-supervising the Resident Assistant (RA) team within each residential area.
When Should I Contact My AC/RLC?
You may want to connect with your AC or RLC if you:
- Need help navigating a roommate conflict
- Have concerns about your living environment
- Want support or resources regarding or outside of housing
- Are interested in getting more involved in your community
- If you are a parent, guardian, or loved one with a concern regarding your student, we recommend checking out our Parent and Guardian Resources for information on how to best support your student.
- It is always recommended for students to reach out directly due to FERPA. We are unable to share specific details with parents or guardians in order to protect students' rights to privacy.
Questions about billing or your license agreement should go to the housing office at housing@csulb.edu.
