Dr. Christine Whitcraft

Principal Investigator

Christine is a Professor and the Paul and Katherine Johansen Endowed Chair for Environmental and Life Sciences at 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿ÚState University, Long Beach who came here via Williams College, Scripps Institution of Oceanography (Ph.D.), San Francisco State University, and San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (post-doc). Wetland ecology provides an opportunity for Christine to have a job and be outside at the same time!

Kevin is a 2nd year graduate student, researching the variation in cordgrass physiology and morphology as indicator of condition for southern 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Úestuaries. He graduated with his B.S. in Biology from Occidental College.

Matt is a 1st year graduate student, researching how fish community composition varies among southern 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Úestuaries and how this could be used to develop an estuarine fish condition index. He graduated with his B.S. in Marine Biology from University of Alaska Southeast.
