Yellow Flag Project Symbolizes American Indian Genocide in California
Kelly Stewart, assistant professor in American Indian Studies was heard on and radio stations about the Yellow Flag Project at Cal State Long Beach marking the genocide of 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿ÚAmerican Indians in the nineteenth century. As many as 16,000 American Indians were killed in 911³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏÃâ·Ñ¹Û¿´Èë¿Úat the height of the genocide during the 1850's.
